2.10. Math 111 Course Description: Plane Trigonometry

Math 111- Plane Trigonometry (2 units) UA ALEKS PPL score of 50-100% or ALEKS Prep for Calc score of 50-100% or Prep for Col Alg score of 65-100% required.   

Description: Topics include right triangle trigonometry, trigonometric functions and graphs, trig identities, inverse trig functions, law of sines, and law of cosines. Students are expected to have a graphing calculator. 

Comments: Please note that the prerequisites to Math 122A/B have changed, and completion of Math 111+112 will no longer gain a student entry into Math 122A/B. If a student is on a calculus track and placed into Math 112, then the student should then take Math 120R (Pre-Calculus) and not Math 111. Math 111 is a major requirement for Architecture and Speech & Hearing Sciences majors. This course has a common final exam.
