5.2. What is the Degree Audit Worksheet (DAW) process for my math, SDS, or DS major?

If Math, Statistics & Data Science, or Data Science is NOT your primary major, then check with your primary major advisor for instructions. Either way, your math/SDS Faculty Advisor will be the one who signs off to approve your math/SDS major. Faculty Advisors also sign for Data Science majors in the Applied Statistics and Comprehensive Statistics emphases; your advising specialist from CS or MCB may sign if you have selected one of those emphases. If you are not sure who your faculty advisor is, the Math Center can look it up for you. (math-mathcenter@arizona.edu)

Procedure:

  1. Apply for graduation in UAccess. If you have completed at least 90 units, you will see this in your To Do list. Earning more than one degree? You need to submit an application for EACH degree you will earn.

February 1 is the deadline to apply for Spring or Summer graduation; September 1 is the deadline for Fall or Winter graduation

  1. Enroll in all required classes for your final semester.

  2. Submit our exit survey: https://uarizona.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9TeFu7dtbQFhs4S

Once the Math Center has confirmed that all three items are done, your DAW (Degree Audit Worksheet) can be started. Please do not schedule an appointment with a Math Center Advisor for your DAW; Nellie, our Administrative Associate, generates DAWs as we receive the survey results (link above).
