13.7. I need to apply to graduate in Spring or Summer.

The deadline to apply for graduation for Spring 2026 or Summer 2026 (STEP 1 below) is February 1.

STEP 1: File for degree candidacy in UAccess. Details for completing this process are here: https://registrar.arizona.edu/support-services/graduation-services/degree-candidacy 

• If you do not have access to the degree candidacy form, please contact Graduation Services: gradservices@arizona.edu

STEP 2: Make sure you are enrolled in all of your required courses for your final semester/term. Check your advisement report in UAccess.

STEP 3: Complete the Math Department Majors Exit Survey:  https://uarizona.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9TeFu7dtbQFhs4S

STEP 4: Degree Audit Worksheet (DAW)

• Once the first three steps are completed, we will know you are ready for your Degree Audit Worksheet. Receipt of the Exit Survey will trigger a process:
  • If your primary major is in our department, Nellie Rios will generate the DAW and send it to your Faculty Advisor. You may want to meet with your Faculty Advisor to go over this - it's a good idea!
  • If another major is listed first, before your math/SDS major, then contact the advisor for that major to start the process. Nellie will let you know your steps in this case.
• Nellie will help you through the process and can answer any questions regarding the next steps to ensure your degree will be awarded.
• Your Math Department Faculty Advisor approves just your math department major.  

While STEP 4 does not have a formal deadline, you should take care of this while you can still make spring schedule changes in case your current schedule does not meet degree requirements. Your degree will not be awarded without an approved DAW form received by Graduation Services.
