Home → Math Placement, PPL, & Transfer Credit / Math Courses & Registration → General Information → I sent my SAT/ACT/TR credit, why do I have an Action Item?
Your math placement of your Next Steps Center has messaging based on the requirements for your current major and your scores/credit that have been submitted. If your SAT/ACT or TR credit does not place you into what you need for your major, you should take the PPL Assessment.
Your Math Placement section of your Next Steps Center will NOT show as completed if it says "TAKE the PPL Assessment" and you choose NOT to take the PPL Assessment.
You can still attend your course registration appointment and enroll in classes if you choose not to take the PPL, but your Math Placement will show that you have an Action Required and will not show as completed.
You can also take the PPL Assessment after your course registration appointment if you later decide to take it.
NOTE that course that do not apply toward your major will not be listed in your Next Steps Center. For example, if you have a placement that will allow registration into Math 106 or 107, those courses will not show in your math placement message if they do not apply toward your current major or requirements.
